The Punahou O-Men has a long history of financially advancing athletics at Punahou School. Our history dates back to December 1924, when the Punahou Varsity Football Team won the Championship. Shortly thereafter, former athletes, like ourselves, banded together commemorating this achievement and started the organization as we know it today.
Since then, our organization has been providing athletic equipment, playground structures, facilities and financial aid. In the past five years, the Punahou O-Men has contributed a new sound system for Alexander Field, 60 personal flotation devices for the Kayaking and Paddling Teams, state of the art football helmets, a rebounding machine for the basketball teams and a video/software device to assist coaches in game preparation.
None of this would be possible without the generous contributions of our membership.
Punahou O-Men’s annual fundraiser, Cars and Cigars, is on Friday, April 10, 2026 starting at 6:00pm, at Velocity Honolulu. During this event, we will be conducting a “Raise the Paddle” fundraiser to finance the 2025-2026 Punahou Athletic Department’s equipment/facilities request and to grow our financial aid endowment.
We have set a fundraising goal of $50,000. To kickstart this campaign and to generate enthusiasm the night of, we are seeking your assistance in “raising of the paddle” in advance.
If you make a gift ahead of time and will be in attendance, you may raise your paddle in recognition of your previously donated gift. Rest assured, we will recognize your gift should you not be in attendance.
